As the weather begins to get warmer and the sun keeps shining, make sure to stay aware of blue-green algae.

Although it is not truly algae, it resembles algae because of the way it clusters in water. Blue-green algae may have toxins that are poisonous and potentially deadly to dogs. It is most frequently found in stagnant water. Therefore, be cautious with your dog near lakes, ponds, and rivers.
